There Is Only Police Brutality, No Widespread Police Brutality

It is getting a bit unreal. In How Should Christians Respond to the Riots , MacArthur now says “ to conclude there is systemic racism, ... widespread police brutality, those are lies, those are not true  ” (38"27"). So it seems widespread police brutality is against God, but run-of-the-mill police brutality is fine. Or, because some have exaggerated police brutality by labeling it widespread falsely, this invalidates any argument for the police to be held accountable for brutality. In the same week, Lindsey Graham, as far right a Christian you can find, said in the Senate, “ Tim and I have completely different experiences with the cops. There is no getting around that,  ... It is now time to have an honest conversation about why is that? How can it be that if you’re a United States senator from South Carolina and you’re black, you get stopped five or six times, and you’re white, you never get stopped? ”. Who's to Blame for the Riots?

I have great admiration for the expository preaching by John MacArthur. Nobody does it better than him. Over the years, I couldn't find a flaw in this pastor. But Who's to Blame for the Riots? shows that, like all of us, he has some sins he cannot overcome despite a very good understanding of what are required of us. Those sins are of racial bias and bigotry.  This sermon shows that MacArthur has the same "very fine people" streak in him. Sadly, he trumps Trump and rises to a new level with saying "things happen" (60'12"). Policing bias and police brutality - the causes that led to the protests and to the riots - get zero mention. Every Christian knows that the root cause of all our problems is ultimately the fallen man, but by stressing only that and skirting the causative reasons for the current events, MacArthur exposes his biases when answering the question in the title of his sermon.
